libguide
I've recently been informed about libguide, a nice little tool for creating customizable library resources. U Brandon has been using them for some time. I'm curious if anybody else has has much experience with these?

Uses for VCR cases
OCLS is getting rid of a number of VCR cassettes, and while there is a firm that will destroy our cassettes, they won't destroy the cases, so we are stuck being imaginative. I found a few uses on line. Who knew, but apparently they make attractive display boxes for the model soldiering crowd; an open case, painted with roof tiles, makes a lovely roof for a miniature house. Otherwise the cases make good display cabinets. Any other uses, I'd love to hear from anybody.

With so much material available on the web, much of it useful, we are still wrestling with providing complete course readings for what are otherwise online courses. And the struggle is not the technology, but working around restrictive / non-existent copyright legislation. Even many of our e-books in the library provide only limited access where the print version very easily (and within the law) provided opportunities to copy selected materials under fair use provisions. I wonder if any other libraries have struggled with this?
